It’s important to share my rather troubling experience with Alpha, as I believe it might be useful for fellow traders. Recently, I executed identical trades using three different brokers, and it was only with Alpha that my stop loss was triggered. This suggests a concerning pattern of spread manipulation aimed at hitting stop losses, ultimately generating undue profits for the firm.
Despite my attempts to address this issue by providing clear evidence and raising my concerns multiple times, their customer support’s responses were frustratingly vague. They offered a partial refund for the spreads, but that hardly tackles the fundamental problem of trust and fair execution. This, combined with similar negative experiences in the past, has led me to conclude that Alpha may be involved in unethical practices.
I’ve made the decision to request the closure of my account and I would strongly urge other traders to steer clear of this broker. There are numerous reputable firms out there that provide transparent and fair trading conditions. Don’t jeopardize your hard-earned capital with a company that seems to prioritize its profits over the integrity of its trading platform.

I began my journey with Alpha Capital when they launched in 2022, and initially, everything appeared to be going well. However, things took a turn when I recently reported a $4,000 profit. Out of the blue, I was demanded to partake in a so-called “risk interview” filled with unrelated questions like “What does bullish mean?” and “Why are you using a VPS?” These inquiries felt completely disconnected from a legitimate risk assessment process for a professional trader.
After I completed this questionable interview, my payout was denied, and my account was abruptly closed on January 16, with no valid reason provided. This certainly feels like a case of a proprietary trading firm looking to sidestep their obligations to successful traders.
It’s become pretty clear to me that Alpha Capital may not operate in good faith. They seem eager to take your capital but will readily conjure up excuses to avoid making payouts. If you’re contemplating joining their ranks, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere; there are definitely more trustworthy prop firms available.
Update: February 18, 2025
The individual conducting the interview lacked professionalism. He spent most of the time fixated on his screen, hardly making any eye contact, and he seemed intent on setting me up to fail. He also provided no assistance in clarifying the MT5 account creation process. I connected the call from my PC, while my trading app was running on a remote server since I preferred a “set and forget” strategy. Although I may not know the term “bullish,” I do understand LONG and SHORT. Are these not sufficient indicators of a skilled trader? -

This firm has proven to be incredibly disappointing. It seems they are more focused on avoiding payouts to traders rather than fostering a supportive environment. After successfully passing both phase one and two, I earned some profits, but then they unexpectedly requested a live interview prior to processing my payout. Following the interview, a frustrating turn of events occurred: my $200,000 account was banned, and they denied my payment on the grounds that my strategy was deemed insufficient. This has left me feeling completely taken advantage of. It’s hard not to see this as total fraud.
