Like many others, I initially believed that it was simply traders bending the rules and then voicing their complaints. However, my experience with this firm has shown me a different side.
They impose a profit cap of $250 for the $5,000 challenge, which they enforce through a profit consistency rule. This rule isn’t based on the account size but instead mandates that only one trade can be up to $60, roughly 25% of the $250 cap. Here’s how it works:
Imagine your first trade yields $60. You’re now up by that amount. For your next trade, you can only take 25% of your total profit from the first trade, which in this case is $15. If your second trade successfully reaches take profit and earns $15, your total profit would be $75. The calculation for your third trade then comes from 25% of this new total profit ($75).
According to them, this profit consistency rule is designed to curb gambling tendencies and emotional trading. It’s meant to prove that you’re a disciplined, consistent trader even after navigating a couple of funded challenges.
However, it feels more like a tactic to ensure you never actually get paid and ultimately lose your funded status. In other words, it seems to undermine all your hard work.
I even offered to discuss my trades with them so they could assess whether they were driven by emotion. Unfortunately, they showed little interest. Once you’ve qualified for a payout, their goal appears to be avoiding payment rather than ensuring adherence to established trading ethics. After all, even those accused of severe crimes have a right to present their case in court.
