Alpha Trader recently implemented a 6% rule that applies to both challenge and live accounts. However, they failed to communicate this change to their traders, leaving many, including myself, in the dark. This lack of transparency has been extremely frustrating, but the situation I faced during their migration process has been particularly painful. I had a scheduled withdrawal date the Thursday of that same week, which meant I had no payout option when I needed it. When they eventually provided a withdrawal date, it was pushed back an entire month, despite my explaining that I had a seven-day add-on. Then, after just four days, they informed me that I had breached the 6% rule that had never been publicized on their Instagram.
I follow their Instagram closely, and while they showcase positive updates, they conveniently neglected to post about this new rule. I successfully made $10,000, most of it in just one day, and I had all the evidence to show my planned withdrawal, which was set at $9,000 from my $50,000 account. But their sudden enforcement of the 6% rule led to the termination of my account.
We engage with these proprietary trading firms for the chance to trade effectively, capitalize on opportunities, and improve our financial standings. However, by limiting daily withdrawals to $3,000, how are we supposed to seize those opportunities? It seems that they penalize successful traders simply for earning too much, while they keep 100% of the profits without providing anything in return, citing breaches due to high earnings.
I’m being penalized for making money, and they take the full $10,000! It feels like a scam, to be honest. My effort and sleepless nights seem to be for nothing now, while they pocket my hard-earned cash.
Trading is already stressful enough, with countless late nights and persistent challenges. Yet, these proprietary firms seem to play with our livelihoods in such a careless manner. I’ll make it a point to remind them on the 14th of every month about what they unjustly took from me and will ensure that other traders are aware of their practices.

This firm is truly disappointing. Their response times are incredibly slow, making communication frustrating. After I was funded, it took what felt like an eternity for them to notify me about a supposed violation, which ultimately led to my payout being denied. Ironically, this came after I had even made it onto the leaderboard, supposedly qualifying for a payout! I highly advise against trusting this company; seek out another trading firm instead. Personally, I will NEVER invest in another challenge again.

I purchased an account on June 28, 2024, but didn’t receive my login credentials, even though the funds were deducted from my bank. When I reached out to the support team, I found it to be non-existent—only bots responded. Eventually, I submitted ticket #1049 in their Discord group. They said they were looking into it, but when I followed up, I ended up banned from Discord. It’s clear they’re just out to exploit people.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS FIRM. THEY ARE JUST OUT FOR YOUR MONEY.
Beware of their 6% profit rule. For example, with a $100,000 account: if you experience a drawdown of $5,000 and attempt to make $11,000 (which is the drawdown plus the 6% profit), they will breach your account and take your funds. Proceed with caution…
