I had a $100,000 account in Step 2 and successfully passed Phase 1. I was very close to passing Phase 2 when suddenly my account was taken from me. I reached out for support and was connected to a representative named Mario. When I asked for clarification, he kept sending me screenshots that didn’t explain anything clearly. He informed me it was related to news trading. I pressed him for a thorough explanation, but he insisted that I had breached my account. Every time I asked for more details, he would just close the support chat, saying, “Good day, you breached it!”
Afterward, I had to reach out again and was assigned to Adam for help. I inquired if he could clarify what news trading was and why it constituted a severe breach. He mentioned that I traded during a news event at 9:45 AM on Friday. I questioned why my account wasn’t flagged at that moment, since I continued trading throughout the rest of Friday. Keep in mind, I was on a $100,000 Step 2 Phase 2 account, just $500 away from being funded!
Adam explained that they conduct random reviews and happened to check my account on Sunday, which is when they decided to revoke my access. I asked him how they could allow me to trade all day Friday only to retroactively determine I had breached the account that same morning. He confirmed that was indeed the case. It seems highly unreasonable that they would wait until I nearly reached my funding goal before taking such action. Shouldn’t the system have automatically flagged the account once it was breached?
I kept asking questions, but Adam continued to cut me off, asserting that he had fully explained everything. If I was truly satisfied, I wouldn’t have needed to keep seeking help! Eventually, Adam warned me that if I kept opening support tickets, I would be banned from the platform. And then he actually banned me, just for seeking clarity on how they could strip my account for a mistake that should have been handled automatically, like other hard breaches.
So now I find myself banned from Alpha—this is how they treat their clients? Is this the kind of support Alpha wants to represent their firm?

The app does take a bit of time to load when you exit and then try to reopen it; it’s somewhat slow. However, aside from that, everything else is really good. One thing I wish they would add is a buy and sell stop feature, similar to what Metatrader offers.

Instant funding has this rule where you can only make 3% gains on your account. If you exceed that, your account gets breached. Honestly, it seems a bit silly to risk losing everything just for some extra profit 😂😂.

I recently bought an instant funded account, but when I made the purchase, there was no option to include news trading. After a couple of weeks of trading, I received an email stating that I had violated the account due to a hard breach related to news trading. However, I don’t trade news; I focus on swing trading and typically ignore news updates. This situation has left me feeling frustrated, as I think these rules should be clearly advertised up front instead of feeling like hidden stipulations. They claim it’s a known rule, but when I checked the site for information on instant funded accounts, I didn’t find any clear answers—just a warning to read the rules carefully, which suggests to me that some things are not as transparent as they ought to be. I still have a challenge account with them, but I’m uncertain about my instant account now.
I really disagree with the idea that the news trading rule is not hidden. On the purchase page, there’s no mention of news restrictions. Similarly, their advertisements don’t say anything about it either. The only place it’s mentioned is buried in the FAQ, and even then, it doesn’t specifically reference instant accounts. They’ve updated the news page months ago, but since they just started offering instant funded accounts, it hasn’t been adjusted accordingly. That’s why I believe these rules aren’t advertised clearly and only come to light through extensive research. The best course of action would be to put a clear statement on the main page indicating that trading news is prohibited, as is standard with many firms.
Typically, companies tend to blame the individual for raising complaints rather than acknowledging the issues and making necessary changes. I genuinely hope Alpha Trader considers my feedback and makes some adjustments rather than simply dismissing it. If they do, I’d be satisfied, and it would also help prevent others from getting caught out by these hidden rules.
Seriously, where in their advertisements does it say that news trading is prohibited? And while they mention a requirement of 7 trading days, they conveniently overlook the fact that those need to be 7 profitable days at .25%. This is what I mean by hidden rules.

This company seems to be operating unethically. Though I haven’t been funded by them yet, I feel compelled to share my experience.
A fellow trader on Discord mentioned that his payout was denied for reasons he couldn’t understand. I advised him to request proof for the denial directly from the firm. Shortly after, I found myself banned from the chat for a week! When I reached out to him privately, he informed me that the firm’s response was essentially to cease all inquiries in the live chat.
It’s essential to be cautious—there’s enough information here to warrant serious concerns about their practices. I have evidence to back this up, so for anyone considering this firm, I strongly recommend you think twice!

I have to express my disappointment with AlphaTrader. After successfully completing their challenge and adhering to all the guidelines, I found myself facing issues when it came time to receive my payout. They began to make unreasonable requests for more information, which I promptly provided. However, they continued to stall without offering a proper explanation—just an endless array of excuses.
To make matters worse, they outright refused to refund my account fee. It’s become quite evident that they have no intention of honoring their obligations. A reputable firm wouldn’t treat its traders this way.
Honestly, if I could rate them with zero stars, I wouldn’t hesitate. Even one star feels too generous for a firm that operates in such a manner. If you’re contemplating joining AlphaTrader, I urge you to reconsider. Save your time and money—there are many reliable prop trading firms out there, and unfortunately, this isn’t one of them.
