GFT operates like a Ponzi scheme within the trading world. I opened an account with them on August 29, 2025, and successfully completed both phases of their challenge by September 6, 2024. However, since that time, I’ve received no details about my live account or any updates. Their only response has been to say I should wait another 12 hours. Eventually, they claimed I wouldn’t be granted access to my live account because they say I traded during a news event, even though my trade history clearly shows that no trades were placed or closed within that critical two-minute window. To make matters worse, they offered me a new $5,000 account in exchange for deleting my review, which I ended up passing on to someone else who had been cheated in the same manner. This company is not trustworthy. The likelihood of making any profits through this prop firm feels like a long shot at about 1 in 100.

The service here is rather sluggish, which can be quite frustrating at times. While the trading opportunities might be appealing, the speed of execution leaves much to be desired. It’s not uncommon to find yourself waiting longer than expected for responses. This slow pace can really hinder overall performance and affect trading strategies. Although there are positive aspects to the firm, such as the range of tools available, the slow service definitely detracts from the overall experience.

I can’t recommend this prop firm, especially for those just starting out. I purchased a small account and successfully passed both Phase 1 and Phase 2. After completing the KYC process on September 4, I was informed to wait 72 hours until September 10 for further updates. However, I still hadn’t received any email by then, so I reached out for clarification. They told me to hold on for another 12 hours.
Eventually, I got an email claiming that I had failed the evaluation due to trading news events. I found this laughable since I wasn’t even aware that a significant news event was happening. It feels like all my time and effort went to waste.

After I shared my experience in the Discord channel, my account was muted for speaking out about the situation. They accused me of spreading false information, just because I suggested that beginners consider looking for a better prop firm where trading news is allowed—something others were curious about in the chat. -

I really have to say, there’s a lot of inconsistency here. Just recently, I got funded with a $100,000 account and decided to take a vacation. Before I left, I reached out to support to ask if it was fine to trade while on holiday due to the different IP situation. They assured me it was okay. However, once I started trading, my account was suddenly taken away. They claimed it was because I was using a different IP, despite what support had told me. It feels like a complete scam to me. I can’t recommend this to anyone.

I received my first payout from a $5,000 account, and it was right on schedule. They promise a payout timeframe of 72 hours, and they delivered on that. I really appreciate the customer service here; their live chat support responds quickly and efficiently to any issues. News events shouldn’t throw off your take profit or stop loss during the critical 4-minute window across all challenges, not limited to just the swing challenge. The only exceptions should be related to trade opening or closing, whether done automatically or manually.

The FAQ section and the definition of hedging provided by the firm seem somewhat vague and potentially misleading. They state, “Hedging is defined as the act of opening two opposite positions on the same asset…” which simplifies the concept quite a bit more than it should. Indeed, hedging is a nuanced and broad term. By narrowly defining it, they are imposing limitations that aren’t clearly communicated on their FAQ page.
For instance, there is no mention of taking inverse positions on different quote currency pairs, such as going long on EUR/USD while simultaneously positioning short on GBP/USD. This strategy is generally recognized as a correlated hedge, yet it isn’t referenced anywhere in their guidelines, which could lead to assumptions that breach their rules. Moreover, traders might open an index position to hedge their XAU position without any rule violations since those are not the same instruments.
