Where we previously had to send emails, the process is now streamlined through their user-friendly dashboard, making everything ten times easier. This dashboard is not only sleek in design but also equipped with excellent tools for tracking your account progress, including a graphical chart.
Overall, it’s undeniably a solid prop firm. Like many businesses, there’s always room for enhancement. The only drawback that comes to mind is the lack of bi-weekly payout options.

This trading firm certainly appears legitimate, as I did receive my payout. However, there seem to be some hidden rules regarding holding positions that are not explicitly communicated. If you inadvertently violate these rules, you won’t find out until you can no longer access the platform. I went through five demo accounts, all while employing the same strategy of concentrating my entire account into a single position. Despite repeatedly failing without any warning about my approach, I continued investing money into the firm. It was only after I finally passed and began to earn with my usual strategy that I was suddenly banned from using their platform. This feels unfair, especially since I was completely unaware of the rule against my strategy until it was too late. I understand the firm’s need to protect its capital, but if they claim to allow various strategies, they should clarify the restrictions that actually exist.
I appreciate that they refunded my investment and honored their payout commitment, but greater transparency on the rules would certainly enhance the experience. I would still recommend them, particularly because the process for setting up a funded account was swift, I received my payment within just one day, and their pricing, while not the cheapest, seems fair.
If you’re considering their services, I suggest trying the less expensive account options first to see if your strategy is acceptable before investing in the pricier alternatives.
As a side note for the owner, their online presence and marketing efforts are quite lacking. It’s tough to find Ment Funding online apart from this review site, which made me initially suspect it was a scam. While it is definitely not a scam, improving their visibility could really benefit the firm. The platform and overall experience were commendable, and it would be wise to promote these strengths more effectively.

After evaluating several funded trading platforms and their respective challenges, I ultimately chose to participate in the Ment Funding challenge. The lack of a time limit and the ability to hold positions over the weekend really suit my trading style. Quite frankly, I wouldn’t consider a challenge that imposes a strict 30-day limit or prohibits weekend holding.
In terms of leverage, it’s reasonable. For those who seek higher leverage, there’s a paid option that allows you to double it. Regarding drawdown and maximum loss, they’re in line with what one might expect—fairly standard. Sure, many traders would prefer a larger drawdown combined with a lower challenge entry fee, but those are the established guidelines, and everyone needs to evaluate what fits their needs. It would be nice to see more flexibility in the future.
The evaluation process consists of just one step, which I believe warrants a stricter approach. You must achieve your target without violating any critical rules to receive funding. However, I would appreciate additional clarity on what happens post-funding. I understand they collaborate with Deel to issue contracts, but it’s somewhat vague regarding the nature of this contract and what it entails concerning paperwork and obligations.
As for the broker, my knowledge is limited, but the spreads appeared acceptable, although they seem to be on the higher side for cryptocurrencies. Additionally, the lot size parameters for crypto assets render many of them impractical for trading.
This was my first experience with a paid challenge—I’ve only practiced on FTMO demos previously. Although I didn’t succeed in the challenge, I took away valuable lessons and realized I might not be prepared to trade under their specific rules just yet. Perhaps I will give it another go down the line.

At Mentfunding, the commission structure is $6 per lot, compared to just $3 at competitors like FTMO or MFF. It might seem like a better deal at first glance, but the hidden costs can add up quickly. For example, the spread on EUR/USD with other firms can be 5 ticks, totaling $8 when you factor in both the spread and commission. In contrast, Mentfunding offers a 0 tick spread, which means you only pay $6—a clear savings overall. This calculation holds true across different markets, and I can confidently say Mentfunding provides a more cost-effective trading environment.
Beyond the lower costs, Mentfunding also emphasizes safety in trading. There’s no gambling rule, and they implement measures that discourage riskier behaviors, such as trailing stop-loss orders and low leverage. While using tighter stops may slow account growth compared to other firms, it ensures that your account genuinely increases over time. In reality, 1:10 leverage is quite reasonable, but many firms showcasing extremely high leverage distort that perception. Any trader experienced enough to manage nine figures would likely find 1:10 leverage quite manageable.
Social media often perpetuates myths like the necessity for a 1% risk per trade and a monthly 10% return to be deemed successful, but this is a misleading narrative that many retail traders buy into.
My advice? Step back from the gambling mentality that comes with maximum day limits and monthly account resets at other prop firms. With Mentfunding, you have ample time to trade without the added pressure, meaning the only way to lose your live account or challenge is through emotional mismanagement.
