On Friday, March 10th, there was a notable issue with the Rithmic trader platform. Apex took the commendable step of reversing all losing trades that occurred during that period while allowing traders to retain their winning trades. This decision positively impacted one of my active proprietary accounts by a remarkable $650. For someone just starting out, that’s a significant boost. I was genuinely astonished when I learned about this through social media and then double-checked my accounts. This is the kind of exceptional service that distinguishes a truly great company. They didn’t need to take such action—I hadn’t even submitted a complaint—but they went above and beyond to rectify the situation. Truly impressive.

Their support for my futures trading endeavors has been nothing short of exceptional.
On March 10, 2023, I encountered a significant issue while using Rithmic/NinjaTrader 8, where my platform froze, resulting in two $150K evaluation accounts being wiped out. To my surprise, Darrell R. Martin, Jr., the CEO of APEX Trader Funding, restored both of my lost accounts and returned them to their previous balances, alongside approximately 7,000 other APEX accounts that were affected by the same malfunction. It’s worth noting that APEX was not responsible for the technical issues, yet they went above and beyond to rectify the situation.
This level of corporate integrity is increasingly rare in today’s business landscape, and it has solidified my decision to continue using APEX Trader Funding as my preferred firm for futures trading.

On the morning of Friday, March 10, 2023, Rithmic experienced a significant issue that caused prices to freeze. As a result, I unfortunately lost capital in my accounts, leading to a complete blowout of my funds. However, I’m happy to report that APEX has since restored all my lost assets and reactivated my accounts. A big thank you to APEX for their prompt resolution!

I was impressed with the responsiveness of the Apex technical team; they promptly reviewed my account and rectified any losses resulting from the Rithmic errors. Remarkably, the capital was returned to me by the end of the market day on Friday.

My active accounts were closed without any real communication from the firm. I feel compelled to share everything I’ve experienced while dealing with customer service. I just hope they won’t erase my reviews since I have Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, BBB, and FTC at my disposal to advocate for my rights.
The platform isn’t functioning as it should. I’ve encountered numerous technical issues with the R-Trader Pro app. The desktop version of R-Trader has many tools that are simply not set up, leaving most of them useless. Additionally, the charts are non-functional. Customer support has been quite confusing, and the information they provide is often lacking or inadequate.

The entire process, from signing up to receiving payouts, was initially quite seamless and straightforward. Up until June 2024, I had no complaints whatsoever.
However, things took a drastic turn after that. Since then, all my payout requests have been denied under the pretense of an “Account Investigation,” yet I was still billed monthly for my PA fees. After passing their video review, I found myself put on probation for trading bonds—despite the fact I’ve never scalped for even a tick. All my trades were legitimate and I have the logs to prove it. During this probation period, I was restricted to trading NQ and ES after they removed treasuries.
Then, without any prior notice, they canceled all 15 of my PA accounts in the middle of the day on Friday, October 25th, 2024, just one day after charging me $850 in PA fees! There was no explanation given for this sudden action.
While I think highly of Darrell, it’s unfortunate to say that John has left a lot to be desired. I had around $150,000 across those accounts combined, and now they refuse to pay me back. I’ve reached out via email for clarification, but to no avail. It feels like they’ve decided it’s easier to shut down my accounts than to make the payouts I’m owed simply because I’ve made a decent profit.
Rest assured, I’m not going to let this slide easily. I have all the documentation and logs that will demonstrate I followed their rules and acted in good faith.

I was having trouble figuring out what was causing the holdup with my SIM account setup. Thankfully, Christopher stepped in to help. We went through some standard checks together, and, as it turned out, everything was running smoothly. We then scheduled a time that suited both of us to proceed with the setup. I must say, Christopher was incredibly punctual. In just a few minutes, we identified and resolved the issue that was causing the delay. I asked him to show me how to execute a trade using NinjaTrader, and he did so with great enthusiasm. Even though I was a bit anxious about trading so late in the day, it turned out well. I ended up making $12.50, which brought a smile to my face, despite my dislike for losing, even in a simulated environment. Thank you, Christopher!

When you click on ‘tradovate’ to make a purchase, you end up with a Rithmic account and you’re left without any option for a refund.
Their customer support responds with claims like, “We didn’t make the purchase for you.”
It’s wise to exercise caution before labeling others as scammers; you might soon find yourself at a loss for accessing any of their services. Please refer to the FAQ section below for more details.
