They provide fast, free market execution, and they’re open to any trading strategy, even during news events. However, the spreads and commissions are a little high, which can be a downside. Additionally, the payout process tends to take longer compared to other firms. While there is an option for payout on demand, the 60:40 distribution feels somewhat inequitable to me.

The level of customer support they provide is commendable, spanning right up to the CEO. Every customer is treated with respect, and issues are addressed promptly by the customer care team.
Speaking of the CEO, Mr. Edward, he is remarkably down-to-earth and lacks any ego. His approachability makes a huge difference; he’s always available on Twitter, ensuring that we traders have a reliable source of support. His encouragement motivates us to sharpen our trading skills day by day.
In my view, GFT stands out as the best in the industry.
As a final note, I have uploaded my most recent payout certificate, as I didn’t receive one back in November when I became funded. Thank you, GFT!

GFT is a solid proprietary trading firm that truly aims for a mutually beneficial relationship between itself and the traders it works with.
Still, there’s a hitch: they use Thinkmarkets, which boasts an impressive server, providing some of the best price action when compared to other brokers. However, slippage issues can arise, and that’s less than ideal for GFT traders.
Another important point to note is that GFT claims to support swing trading, but in reality, they fall short on this promise. If you want to give swing trading a shot, just be aware that it comes with risks. Personally, I lost an account worth $8,000 on the very first trade— a loss of $78 after commissions. My balance had been over $7,900, but I was holding a trade that had exceeded $300 the previous day, and when it retraced back to my entry point, it hit my stop-loss. GFT argued that I’d breached my account rules, despite the fact that I was simultaneously managing another $5,000 account.
It was a tough lesson to learn, but it taught me a lot. Just don’t be fooled into believing they’re all about balance— the reality is they operate on an equity basis.
In conclusion, I would rate Goat Funded Trader at 85%.

I also like that their drawdown is based on balance, which feels fair. However, I think they should work on improving the daily drawdown limits and the maximum drawdown as well. If they could address those areas, everything would be excellent.

Their support team is incredibly responsive and solution-oriented, arguably the best I’ve encountered!
Unfortunately, I never reached that payout milestone because I fell asleep while running a trade without a stop-loss, and it ultimately wiped my account. I would be grateful for a second chance, as they genuinely represent one of the top prop firms out there, boasting transparency, openness, and likely the most competitive payout rates.
I highly recommend Goat Funded Trader to anyone looking to start their trading journey. The spreads are good, and their problem-solving approach to client issues is commendable.
Everything has been excellent with GFT. I’ve used several prop firms in the past, and I can confidently say Goat Funded Trader is the best. Don’t hesitate to open an account with them and experience it for yourself. I’ve also worked with three other firms associated with Prop Firm Match, but GFT truly stands out.

I’ve had a positive experience with GFT so far; they really seem to prioritize resolving customer issues. However, I’m quite frustrated with the third-party payment provider. The KYC process has already taken over three weeks, and there haven’t been any solutions yet. Because of this, I’m unable to make any withdrawals despite my funded account being in profit. Once this situation gets resolved, I would definitely be inclined to rate them five stars!

I want to start by emphasizing that I do not hold an account with this proprietary trading firm, largely because I am aware of the CEO, Edward.
In my opinion, he is nothing short of a scam artist. Edward runs a YouTube channel named Forexxl, which is filled with ineffective strategies, including dubious “fake chocks.” He claims to not sell courses, but that is simply untrue. If you visit the Forexxl website, you’ll find a course priced at €1,200. He boasts about being a trader with nine years of experience and claims to own six houses acquired through trading. In reality, he struggles with trading and relies solely on subscriptions, along with his YouTube and Instagram presence, which has a follower count of 344,000—mostly people seeking genuine trading guidance.
I purchased his signal service, where he shared his trades, and shockingly, only about 10% of those were actually profitable. The Forexxl site had a Trustpilot account, but with a disappointing rating of 2.2, Edward decided to delete it. Now, he has launched this proprietary trading firm.
Is this really where you want to invest your money? I strongly advise steering clear and seeking a more reputable prop firm instead.

What truly amazes me is the ability to withdraw on demand—I received payment just 24 hours after placing my initial order, which is remarkable.
Additionally, there are no strict or hidden trading rules, and the website is user-friendly. When I successfully completed the second phase of my evaluation, I was astonished by how quickly my trading was verified—literally within seconds. As a Nigerian relying solely on my NIN card for identity verification, I initially worried about KYC issues. However, when I contacted their support team, they promptly directed me to a Sumsub link that allowed me to verify using my NIN. I faced a few challenges during this process, but I’m grateful the support team stood by me the entire time.
After successfully passing the KYC verification, I received my simulated funded account details almost instantly. Given this positive experience, I can wholeheartedly recommend GTF for any Nigerian relying on their NIN as identification. Nigerians often struggle with KYC verifications using their NIN, and I can only imagine the frustration of being denied a funded account after passing the evaluation.
I previously encountered such an issue with FundedNext. After putting in countless hours and effort to pass their 15k evaluation account, I succeeded in both phases. However, during KYC, my NIN card was repeatedly rejected. With only three attempts allowed for uploading identity, I used two chances with my NIN to no avail. Eventually, I resorted to using my friend’s driver’s license, which successfully passed verification but ultimately led to my denial of the funded account due to a name discrepancy between the KYC details and the account.
It was disheartening, and I realized my mistake in using someone else’s identity. After explaining the situation to support and requesting a second chance for KYC, I never received a reply. To my shock, I was later notified of my account termination. I genuinely want to prevent other Nigerians from facing similar disappointment—imagine passing all challenges only to be denied a funded account.
For many of us in Nigeria, the NIN is the most accessible form of identification. Not everyone owns a car, so obtaining a driver’s license can be impossible. Moreover, many of us haven’t traveled outside our local areas, making it difficult to secure an international passport. This is a significant issue that needs consideration.
I hope more proprietary firms will adopt simpler NIN verification processes for Nigerians. Hats off to GTF for being undoubtedly one of the best in the industry! Thank you, PropFirm Match, for the fantastic work you’re doing. Keep up the great work and continue to inspire! God bless you all.
