It’s not often you can actually speak to someone after market hours, so I was pleasantly surprised. Additionally, I’m a fan of their short evaluation time—just five days—and the one-time fee structure. However, I underestimated the actual drawdown limits for my money. While they advertise a $1,500 drawdown on the $25,000 account, in reality, it’s only $500 if you hit that in a single day. You might rack up $1,499 in profits, but losing the account due to a $500 loss in one day hardly seems like a fair deal. Many other prop firms simply pause your trading if you hit a daily drawdown—you still retain access to the full $1,500 drawdown (less any daily losses) that you’re paying for and can enter recovery mode the following day. This discrepancy has significantly affected my view of TPT. If they were to change that one policy, they could really stand out in the industry.

Another significant advantage is their same-day payout policy. There’s no need to submit requests at specific times and then wait two weeks for payment. Instead, traders can earn money every day and withdraw it the same day.

Like any business, all proprietary trading firms come with their own set of rules. However, Take Profit’s business model stands out, particularly for those passionate about starting a career in futures trading. One of their most appealing features is how they manage payouts. For instance, if you earn $4,000 on a Tuesday, you can easily withdraw those funds without any delays, often seeing them in your account within minutes—and typically on the same day. This is a significant advantage over many other firms that operate on bi-weekly payout schedules. With Take Profit, you truly are your own banker.
I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with Klein, Aleksandra, and Jekaterina. They’re always courteous, quick to respond, and eager to resolve any issues I might have. Their website is filled with valuable content, though I’ve found that, at times, the FAQs don’t directly address all my questions.
One minor frustration is that many of us are able to pass the evaluation process in just one or two days. While I understand their desire to see consistent performance, the five-day requirement can feel excessive.

The withdrawal rules are quite favorable. The promotional offers really stand out, particularly for traders who possess the skill but lack sufficient funds.
I used to highly recommend this trading firm in various online forums and social media, but that’s changed. Unfortunately, my recent experiences with customer service haven’t been satisfactory. During my last two encounters, I faced constant issues with Tradovate. When I contact TPT, they direct me to Tradovate, and vice versa. It feels like neither party wants to take responsibility, leaving traders in the lurch.
Tradovate has exhibited significant lag, which has resulted in breaching my $1,100 limit on two different accounts now. I’ve even supplied evidence to support my claims. The first instance occurred last month, and after going back and forth with their support, I decided to reset my account, hoping it would solve the problem. But, sadly, it happened again just today. I’m aware of the $1,100 rule, which, by the way, is quite frustrating. I had a closed order that Tradovate didn’t process until three seconds later, causing a $20 breach! Just $20!!! I wonder if that $20 cost was worth losing a customer. Unfortunately, I received no assistance or refund. Unless TPT acknowledges the issues with the platforms and resets my account, I’ll be opting for my reset funds over Top Step.
As for TPT’s response, it’s clear you didn’t fully read my review. Did you miss where I stated that I provided proof to your support team? Blaming the platform doesn’t absolve you of your responsibility! You’re promoting their service on YOUR site! I’m not interested in these generic responses.

I’m stuck with a Tradovate issue that is clearly their mistake, as the login details they provided me with have stopped working. After reaching out multiple times, all I’ve received are the same generic replies—four times now—suggesting that I should contact Tradovate myself. But guess what? When I did reach out to Tradovate, they simply told me to get in touch with Take Profit Trader directly. It’s incredibly frustrating to feel like I’m just going in circles over an account I just invested in. Honestly, this level of customer service is just unacceptable.
Overall, my main issue is that the dashboard isn’t updated until 8 PM EST. This means that while trading during the day, you have to manually track your profits and losses. For instance, my dashboard didn’t refresh overnight, and the next day, it showed the same figures as before. Unfortunately, as I incurred some drawdown on my account, it got breached, even though I hadn’t reached the limit displayed on my dashboard. They mentioned that updates were delayed, but then informed me that I would need to purchase another account. I won’t be using this platform again; I need something reliable that can keep pace with my trading activities throughout the day.

It’s worth mentioning that Plaid only partners with reputable businesses.
From a communication standpoint, TPT features a live chat option on their website, which I highly recommend utilizing. My recent interaction with a representative named Jekaternia was exceptionally positive; she went above and beyond in assisting me. If you connect with someone in chat, don’t hesitate to ask to be transferred to Jekaternia.
Futures trading isn’t easy by any means, and one crucial rule at TPT is to avoid exceeding the $3,300 maximum daily loss; exceeding this amount will result in account termination. If that happens, be prepared to purchase an account reset, which costs $100 during the evaluation stage and is TBD in Pro.
This can be confusing since they have a daily loss limit (DLL) of $3,300 and a maximum loss limit (MLL) of $4,500. You can incur a loss of -$3,295 and still be fine, but hitting -$3,300 leads to account termination. This structure serves as a valuable lesson in risk management.
Another critical rule to keep in mind is to ensure you have no open positions at 5 PM EST when the futures markets close. To avoid unexpected outcomes, make your account flat a few minutes before this time and feel free to open new positions at 6 PM when Globex opens again.
In summary, if you possess the determination and capability to become a successful and profitable futures trader, TPT offers fair and prompt payment. Once your payment is processed through the Plaid system, the funds are typically credited to your bank account almost instantly.

I successfully passed an evaluation account with Take Profit Trader. On the very first day of my PRO funded account, I managed to earn $4,700, well above the necessary $3,300 threshold for a payout on a $150,000 account. Just an hour later, though, I encountered a frustrating error message that prevented me from canceling any orders, instructing me to contact my broker. While trying to flatten my positions in Tradovate, I found myself completely locked out of my account.
I reached out to customer support, and on Thursday afternoon, they informed me that my issue had been escalated to a manager for further review. They assured me I would receive a response within 1-3 hours, though it might take longer since it was after 1 PM. In a bid to expedite the process (to avoid liquidation), I sent them several messages and made sure to capture screenshots of my account balances as they dwindled. They reassured me that my account would be reinstated after review. However, when I followed up, I was told there was nothing more they could do until I heard back from the manager. I figured I’d at least be able to speak to someone by the next day.
Unfortunately, a full day slipped by, and my account was liquidated. On Friday afternoon, when I inquired about the timeline for a response, I was told the manager was busy, and I should expect to wait longer. Then came Sunday, and after several attempts to get clarity on my situation, I received a curt message telling me, “Next time contact Tradovate and save logs.” While I appreciated the advice for future reference, I pushed back given that the issue stemmed from a technical glitch on their end. I emphasized the significant profit I had made on my first day. After that, my attempts to reach them went without acknowledgment, and this morning I received an email simply reiterating that I should reach out to Tradovate, with no further assistance offered.
As I mentioned earlier, I once held TPT in high regard. However, after this experience, I cannot recommend them any longer. They seem accommodating when dealing with minor issues during the evaluation phase, but the moment one starts generating profit in the PRO account, their support virtually vanishes.

I would estimate that the average response time for live chat is around three minutes, which is incredibly fast—almost quicker than anyone I might text or call! Interestingly, most of the time, I would get a representative named Klein, who is always on point with his answers, delivering them efficiently without wasting any time. It actually made me laugh; I wish my bank would reply this quickly! Although I haven’t passed the challenge yet and can’t comment on the payouts, a friend of mine is coaching me and has successfully withdrawn over $100,000 from them over the months. There’s definitely a payout if you can manage to generate profits while adhering to the rules.
As per the firm’s regulations, your account is entirely disabled after just one instance of surpassing the daily loss limit. In contrast, Topstep allows for temporary account disabling when a daily loss limit is reached, provided that the maximum loss has not been hit, which is far more accommodating for traders. Additionally, TopstepX features superior charting options! Unfortunately, the company’s strict daily loss rule makes it rather unattractive. Honestly, I feel like I’ve thrown my money away on this account. My experience with Christian, the chat agent, was lukewarm; while she wasn’t outright rude, her level of courtesy left much to be desired.

It was frustrating that I didn’t receive any email notification before the account was set to be canceled, especially after I had dedicated weeks to building my balance up to $52,032. It feels like a complete waste of my time and effort.
As a current funded trader at another firm, I felt it vital to share my experience here. After passing the evaluation and moving to a live account, I discovered that I needed to maintain a $5,000 cushion. This amount is technically “your money,” intended to prevent the firm from losing theirs. The moment I dropped below that cushion, I was immediately disabled from trading. What I wasn’t informed about initially was the hefty $1,400 fee just to reset the live account! Unfortunately, I found myself in that situation unexpectedly, and I decided it was more economical to start another evaluation instead. However, my impulsive decisions—a result of being a funded trader—led me to spend nearly as much on resets.
On the bright side, I can withdraw my $5,000, but only after waiting an agonizing 90 days minus any losses accumulated when dipping into “your money.” This has become a significant concern for me, especially since they also impose withdrawal fees.
In a frustrating twist, after my account was reset and my subscription renewed, the very next day my account was disabled—rendering the reset pointless. This meant I spent more money with no answers in sight and no refund for the subscription I paid on June 16, 2024.
