I signed up for this proprietary trading firm a few weeks back, investing over $2,500 for three accounts. I managed to pass on my second attempt and even received my first payout. However, while I was gearing up for my second payout with just four days left, I got an unexpected email from the CEO of NexGen asking me to stop trading so they could transition me to a live brokerage account. Naturally, I was curious and asked if I had violated any rules. They assured me that I hadn’t and that they actually appreciated my trading style.
Yet, I couldn’t understand why I was being asked to halt my trading. I pointed out a public video on YouTube featuring the CEO, where he claimed, “All traders can stay in simulated trade as long as they want; we never pressure anyone to go live until they feel prepared.” Despite sharing this video, they didn’t respond and instead blocked my access to both my dashboard and trading platform.
Since joining, I have managed to earn $23,000 in just 40 days of trading, but I’ve only received $8,000 so far. It feels like they took $15,000 from my instant funded account without any justification. In my opinion, this prop firm is a scam. Save your money and consider trading with another firm.

I purchased new accounts from this firm, only to discover a hidden rule referred to as USST. This particular stipulation wasn’t mentioned prior to my account purchase, which was quite frustrating. What concerns me even more is that they cited trades violating this rule that had nothing to do with my accounts. Eventually, they stopped responding to my emails, leaving me without any explanation.
Curiously, they only reached out after I left my review. It seems they enforce account violations based on this undisclosed rule, which is quite troubling. I’ve also heard of another firm that’s following a similar pattern, known as FTT.

I’ve had a really positive experience so far. The toughest part was the wait for my live account, which took about two days. Just yesterday, I received my first withdrawal and was pleasantly surprised to see the transfer completed within five minutes of my request. This firm has truly simplified the trading journey. While they present similar challenges to those at Apex, the initial challenge was remarkable due to the size of the static drawdown they allow. It took about a day for the paperwork to be processed, but I now have a funded account. I even made a withdrawal on the second day—just to see if it would go through—and it did! Now, I’m focusing on building a little cushion before my next withdrawal. I can’t help but chuckle as I write this because Nexgen is such a refreshing change for the better!
