    My experience with TakeProfitTrader has been quite unfortunate, and this isn’t my first bad encounter. Using Tradovate on TradingView has become a constant struggle. Between platform outages that disrupt my trades and the system freezing up and executing unintended orders, it feels like a never-ending battle. I’ve reached out to both TPT and Tradovate, but it’s been a frustrating cycle of blame, with neither party taking responsibility. It seems they expect traders to deal with the fallout while they wash their hands of any accountability.

    The customer service has been lacking as well. I’ve encountered nothing but poor support—no help, no solutions, and absolutely no empathy. In fact, I recently found myself dealing with an issue at TopStep after being fed up with the issues at TPT. I paid to start their combine, but instead of a smooth experience, they initially took my payment without setting up an account. However, unlike TPT, TopStep’s support team was refreshing. They sincerely apologized, credited me with two free account resets, and followed up with several emails of apology. It’s clear where customer service truly counts, and unfortunately, it’s not with TPT.

    Perhaps it’s time for me to consider a firm that genuinely values its customers.

    Since my last review, I still haven’t heard back from the company about why my account remains inactive or when I can expect a refund. All I’ve received is a vague message saying the money is refunded, but there’s absolutely no proof to back that up. It’s incredibly frustrating, and I feel left in the dark.

    I had a profitable run with my account, totaling $1,434 from winning trades. Just today, I took a micro contract of 15 and set a stop loss at 36 points, translating to $1,080. The trade seemed to move in my favor, gaining about 10 points, which was roughly $300. My drawdown then reached $48,000, plus the total of $1,434 and $300, which brings it to $49,734.

    However, to my disbelief, my account was eventually wiped out at $50,166.

    I reached out to customer support for clarification, and their reply was simply, “Stop losses are not guaranteed to work.”

    As if that wasn’t enough, I no longer have any historical data at all—no record of my trades and no communication with support.

    This situation feels like theft and raises serious concerns about transparency. It’s best to steer clear of this proprietary trading firm to avoid unexpected losses, as everything appears to be designed to deplete clients’ accounts.

    The payout policy and structure here are commendable. Customer service? Excellent. They often have attractive deals. I really appreciate the wallet feature and the rewards system, which allows you to accumulate points for resets and evaluations.

    Overall, it’s a solid proprietary trading firm. There are a few aspects I’d suggest improving, though I recognize that these issues might be integral to their business model.

    1. I think it would be beneficial if traders could pass their evaluations in just one or two days. Five days feels a bit excessive given the current trading landscape.

    2. The daily loss limit can be pretty harsh, as it wipes out your account immediately. With the current market conditions—where every one-minute candle on the NQ can fluctuate by around 70 points—unpredictable slippage can occur when your stop gets triggered. I’ve seen accounts wiped out by only $5 or $10, despite having a stop-loss in place that I thought would safeguard the account. It would be great if a daily loss limit simply ended your trading day without ending the evaluation itself. Also, the inability to manually set a more conservative daily loss limit in Tradovate, like you can with personal accounts or accounts at other firms, is concerning. I suspect this feature is intentionally disabled to maintain the eval rules.

    3. And then we have the Pro and Pro+ Account unrealized profit trailing drawdown until you exit the buffer zone. I get that the team at Take Profit needs to maintain their business, but this is definitely the top issue I’d love to see changed. There are other prop firms out there that don’t implement this. Nevertheless, with so many other valuable features at Take Profit, this drawdown, while frustrating, hasn’t driven me away just yet.

    Complaint – “The Same Agent”

    “I completely agree that your agents are indeed ‘real people,’ but they also serve as representatives of TPT, reflecting the standards of your company.

    Recently, I encountered an issue and contacted chat support regarding the affiliation referral code—specifically how to acquire more, delete, and recreate them. Unfortunately, the agent I spoke with initially escalated my query without offering any useful information. The chat log from this incident is available for review.

    The following day, I had the pleasure of chatting with a truly professional and knowledgeable agent who not only answered my question right away but also went above and beyond by deleting the codes in just a matter of minutes. This experience highlighted a glaring difference between the two agents’ approaches.

    Why couldn’t the first agent provide assistance as effectively as the second? It felt like a generic response rather than the tailored help I needed.

    While I greatly appreciate the outstanding service from the second agent, the first agent’s performance fell short of the professionalism typically expected from customer service representatives. I sincerely hope TPT will consider additional training for the first agent to ensure a consistently high level of customer care.

    My account showed a profit of $1,434, all from winning trades. Earlier today, I executed a micro contract of 15, setting a stop loss at 36 points, which equates to about $1,080.     However, in a surprising turn of events, my account was completely wiped out at $50,166.

    When I reached out to support for clarification, their reply was simply, “Stop losses are not guaranteed to work.”

    As if that weren’t frustrating enough, I’ve lost access to all historical data: there’s no trade history or even any record of my communications with support. It’s astonishing!

    I’ve been trading with TPT for a couple of weeks now; I started on July 15th. I was away for roughly 11 or 12 days during that time. However, I managed to fund a PRO account in just 8 days by staying focused, disciplined, and consistent. While I also work with other proprietary firms, I genuinely appreciate what TPT offers. So far, my experience has been positive, and I would certainly recommend them to fellow traders!

    My experience with this firm’s support team has been quite alarming. I interacted with four different agents, each providing inconsistent and incorrect information, which led to a fair amount of frustration. Here are the key issues I faced:

    First, regarding the daily loss limit, the initial agent insisted that I had exceeded it, even though I was actually $3,700 in profit. This claim was based on a PDF he shared, which clearly displayed my positive standing. Such a significant error reflects either a misunderstanding or a major flaw in their system.

    Next, the second and third agents assured me that my account was fine, directly contradicting what the first agent had said. This discrepancy created more confusion. It’s evident that there’s a lack of internal communication and consistency among their staff.

    Another troubling incident involved the fourth agent, who accused me of trading during news events. I was able to disprove this by providing screenshots that displayed the opening and closing times of my trades, which coincided with periods where there were no news announcements. This baseless accusation further diminishes the credibility of their support team.

    Moreover, this same agent claimed that I held a trade past 5 pm; however, my account had been disabled by 1:50 pm, making it impossible for me to have held a trade afterward. Such misinformation points to either a lack of thorough investigation or an attempt to deflect blame.

    The overall lack of coherence, accuracy, and transparency in their support responses is simply unacceptable. This has resulted in the unjust disabling of my account and the withholding of my legitimate profits.

    I would strongly recommend potential customers to approach this firm’s support with caution given their inconsistencies and unreliability.

    Update: Just take a look at their response after they took $1,500 from me. Seriously, save your money. It’s much better to deposit through Ninja and manage your own funds.

    I purchased an account and it only lasted a mere two minutes. Unfortunately, the data from Tradovate was inaccurate, likely because of a delay. According to external charts, my trade was definitely on point; however, Tradovate was showing a completely different trend, with the charts remaining static while my account fluctuated between losses and gains. Naturally, they flat-out refuse to offer a refund or even address the issue. This experience just doesn’t seem worth it at all. I’m honestly relieved I didn’t opt for the $150,000 account I initially considered. It’s also interesting that I stumbled upon an influencer who had been discussing the very same problems with Tradovate. It seems like they were given credits because of their status, while regular users are left in the lurch. I strongly advise steering clear of this firm.

    Update following their response: A company that allows you to lose your account due to platform malfunctions right after your purchase essentially implies that if you buy something and it fails within minutes, it’s their profit and your loss. Best to avoid this place altogether.

    I tried to purchase an account, but unfortunately, the TPT system failed to create it. A member of the support team instructed me to cancel the purchase, promising I would receive a refund so I could make a new attempt. However, I later received a notification stating that, due to disputing the account purchase, my services would be suspended—this was confirmed by TPT’s CFO.

    It seems like there are significant gaps in communication and training among the team members. It’s frustrating when one representative says one thing, and another contradicts that.
