This proprietary trading firm is a scam. I placed third in their competition, yet they refused to offer me the account challenge as outlined in their terms of use. It seems like they’ll go to great lengths to disqualify you or to avoid making any payments. It’s truly a scam!

The firm leaves a lot to be desired. I successfully completed both phases of their challenge, but things took a turn when I made a trade during a news event in phase two. According to their guidelines, this was permitted, yet they claimed my trade was risky since I opened it roughly 15 to 60 minutes prior. To my surprise, they insisted I repeat the entire challenge from phase one, which I found to be completely unreasonable given that I managed the trade effectively. I reached out to the risk management team to discuss the situation, but sadly, they did not respond at all. Honestly, this level of service is something I’ve never encountered with any other proprietary trading firms.

I’ve really enjoyed the trading experience overall.
Another positive aspect is the low target for evaluation. That said, I would appreciate if they allowed weekend trade holding. All in all, my time with WSF has been quite rewarding.

Upon completing phase 1, you instantly receive access to your phase 2 account, which is a nice bonus. There’s no minimum number of days required to clear the challenges, which I find quite convenient. However, I do have some concerns. The spread isn’t to my liking; it tends to be wider than I set for my stop loss. Additionally, it’s frustrating that I can’t execute the same trade across multiple accounts. Despite these issues, I’m generally satisfied with the experience so far. As for the payment process, I can’t comment on it yet since I haven’t reached that point.

The challenge format of this trading firm is quite rapid, which may appeal to some; however, it comes with a few drawbacks. While they may not be the most affordable option and offer a lower total drawdown compared to other proprietary firms, their payout process leaves much to be desired. When it’s time to take profits, even if you clearly articulate your strategy or explain your riskier approach during challenges, they often reject payouts by labeling your methods as gambling. I cannot recommend them, despite their initial allure.
Using 4% risk on a challenge account when it’s in the positive is not simply luck; that’s what you call asymmetric risk. It’s a strategy to either pass the challenges swiftly or recover from setbacks without getting stuck in a loop of failure. I demonstrated through real account trades that my risk management was well controlled. However, when it came time to settle up, the firm opted to return my challenge fees of $2,189 instead of compensating me for my profits. It seems they prefer traders who don’t make money, rather than supporting those who do.
