This has been an absolute scam!
I’m Jorge Solis, and in late January 2025, I invested in an instant account with City Traders. Initially, I experienced a small -2% drawdown, but after a few weeks, I managed to break even and even reached a 4% profit towards my 10% goal. However, just when I was making progress, I found myself suddenly locked out of my account. It felt like a coincidence that access was denied right after I started getting closer to my target. Every time I attempted to log in, I received a notification stating that either my email or password was incorrect, despite not having altered anything.
I immediately reached out to customer support, sending about five emails in total. Their only suggestion has been to check my spam folder for a password reset link. I’ve already informed them that I thoroughly checked my spam folder multiple times, yet no reset email appeared. Unfortunately, a representative named Uyi Okundia simply replied again, urging me to double-check my email for accuracy and to look through my spam folder once more. It’s utterly ridiculous! After five attempts at contacting them, every response has been the same: “check your spam folder/make sure you typed in the correct email address.” This situation is laughable and incredibly frustrating. It’s clear to me that this is a complete scam!
Be wary—once you start making any progress, they will lock you out of your account.

The technical support here leaves much to be desired. It’s been over a week since I completed the initial funding phase of $10,000, yet there’s been no sign of the second phase being processed. My attempts to reach out for assistance have gone unanswered, which is incredibly frustrating. I successfully navigated a $100,000 two-step account challenge with CTI. However, after clearing the challenge, I was informed that I needed to submit videos of my trading activity, showcasing five separate trades. As I typically trade just once a day, this meant I had to create five individual video submissions after already passing the challenge.
To my surprise, after I submitted the videos, I was banned for alleged reverse trading, which I firmly believe is untrue. When I reached out for clarification, they mentioned that their system had “flagged” me. However, when I asked for any evidence to support this claim, they were unable to provide anything tangible.
Remarkably, during the period I recorded the videos for them, I managed to achieve an additional 3% profit. I pointed out that their accusations didn’t hold up, as it would have been impossible for me to generate that profit while supposedly engaging in reverse trading. This was on top of the 8% and 5% profits I had accumulated during phases one and two of the challenge.
Later on, they requested the links to my videos again, and it became apparent that their management team only accessed them at that point. This felt like a waste of my time, as it seemed they had disregarded the videos during their initial review.
They promised that their CEO would address this matter, yet to this day, I have not received any communication from him. They’ve cited various server issues as the reason for the delay in the CEO’s response.
In an update following CTI’s response, I would like to clarify that I was indeed involved with another proprietary trading firm, but it had been closed for months before I started my challenge with CTI. Therefore, I did not violate any of their terms. My primary focus remains on my personal trading. It seems CTI is determined to avoid issuing funded accounts, coming up with endless excuses. Imagine being wrongfully banned due to a faulty flag from their system, only to find out their CEO is scrutinizing your social media for reasons to deny you an account. I urge potential traders to think carefully before getting involved with this firm; their practices appear to lack ethics.

Upon completing the challenge, I was informed that I needed to provide videos of my trading activity, specifically showing five separate trades. Since I only trade once a day, that meant I had to record and submit five different videos. After my communication with them, they asked for a link to the videos again, and that’s when I noticed the management team had only accessed those videos after my repeated requests. It seems they didn’t consider the content during their initial review, which made me feel like my time was wasted.
They assured me that their CEO would address this matter, but as of now, there’s been no response. I’ve received various excuses about server issues that supposedly have delayed any follow-up from the CEO. Overall, my experience has been quite frustrating.

After I finally got it to work, they decided to perform server maintenance that shut down my operations. To make matters worse, I reached out to technical support multiple times but never received a response. Now, they’ve changed my password, and I can’t log in at all. I recently took part in a trading challenge with City Trades Imperium, and I managed to meet all the necessary conditions they set. However, despite my full compliance with their rules, they turned down my request for a live account, giving me an unreasonable excuse: that I accessed my account from different devices.
This reason strikes me as both absurd and unwarranted. I had already reached out to them via email to clarify the situation, but instead of resolving my concerns, they outright ignored my message and dismissed my case without engaging in any further dialogue.
It’s evident that City Trades Imperium is not a reliable firm. They entice traders with promises of funded accounts, only to come up with arbitrary excuses to refuse payouts or deny live accounts once you’ve completed their challenge.
I strongly advise traders to steer clear of City Trades Imperium. Don’t waste your time and resources on a company that doesn’t operate with integrity. There are much more reputable proprietary firms available—it’s best to avoid this one entirely!
